Here's
some helpful information as you prepare to celebrate tax season
Community
Events
Here
you'll find events going on in our communities that are not necessarily
Scout related but are opportunities for our Scouts and Scouters to support
those organizations that support Scouting. Without these organizations
we would not be able to "Deliver the Promise"
If your
church or other nonprofit organization has an event to promote please
send it to the webmaster.
Blood
Drive At Canton 1st United Methodist Church
Monday, December 19th, 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm
District
Scouters:
Canton
1st United Methodist Church is an active supporter of Scouting in
our District, providing facilities for our District Roundtables, District
Committee and District Advancement meetings. Please consider supporting
their upcoming blood drive. Details below:
Dear
Donors, as always - (and I never tire of saying this), "Thank you
again, for your faithful commitment to provide lifesaving blood for our
community!"
Our December
blood drive will be Monday, 12/19 from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Canton
1st United Methodist Church. If all goes well, this will be a special
drive in honor of one of our long-term church members.
Please
give me a call to schedule an appointment (770) 365-3161. We expect a
good turnout for this drive and want to minimize the wait for all our
donors! You may receive a call from the Red Cross - feel free to schedule
with them or on-line if you'd prefer. If you do, please shoot me an e-mail
to let me know your scheduled time. They'll tell me the day before the
drive (but it's easier if I know what timeslots to fill).
The Red
Cross has agreed to give us a LOT MORE staff to accommodate our donors
for this drive. They are also bringing more and BETTER snacks than we
had at the last drive. We may even find our favorite, "Nutter Butter"
again.
Thanks
again! I hope to see you there!
