The Cherokee/Pickens district Vice Chair of Membership, Renee Anderson
is seeking help in the following positions: .....Still only requires 1
hour a week....
RACE TO SCOUTING CHAIR
*Conduct training roundups and Race to Scouting nights
*Keep calendars for recruiting
*Match schools to Units
* Watch for new schools to set up roundups and SNES.
*Recruit team members for help with Race to Scouting.
COMMUNICA TIONS/PUBLIC RELATIONS PERSON
*Develop relationships with local media
* Talk about Scouting with local media to spread around what the boys
are involved in
*News releases, pictures & articles sent to media monthly
* Communicate Scouting to the general public
WEBELOS TRANSITION CHAIR
*Build relationship between Packs & Troops
* Track Webelos 2 ready to cross
* Watch day camp attendees
*See how many boys troops are able to accept
* Work towards 100% Webelos transition to Boy Scouts
*Make flyer/brochure for joining Boy Scouts to give to Webelos
BOY SCO UT RECR UITING CHAIR
* Target middle & high schools
*Develop new boy recruiting for Boy Scouts and Venturers
*Meet with principals or email key contacts to get into schools
*Keep record of all schools
*Have open house to display Boy Scouts activities
NEW UNIT CHAIR
*Evaluate districts & determine where new Units are
needed
*Evaluate growth of Cherokee/Pickens Counties
* Watch for new elementary & middle schools
RECORD KEEPER
*Keep inventory of District total reports (DTR's)
*Dropouts
*Keep in touch with Cubmasters to track all registered
*Keep event rosters to watch for registered Scouts
